A Stronger Economy for All

Economic growth in all sectors – from small businesses, to manufacturers, to dairy farms – is critical to the future of Vermont. State leaders need to provide a supportive environment for Vermont’s entrepreneurs to be able to innovate, compete, expand and succeed. Rather than looking for opportunities to regulate and tax, the state should look to nurture, promote and advise. This is the philosophy I will bring to the Vermont Senate.

A Vermont We Can Afford to Call Home

During my time in the Vermont House, I’ve been laser-focused on peeling back the layers upon layers of taxes, fees and costly regulations that have made our state unaffordable. Over the last 4 years, I’ve said “no way” to hundreds of millions of dollars in proposed taxes and fees, and I have voted against budgets that spent beyond our means. I’ve also been a vocal champion of new laws that allowed many Vermonters to afford their first homes and made Vermont businesses more competitive. With your support, I’ll continue my efforts on your behalf, as Franklin County and Alburgh’s voice for affordability in the Vermont Senate.

Taking a Stand on the Opioid Epidemic

I’ve worked hard to improve access to treatment and reduce the number of prescriptions doctors write for opioids. My record on this issue shows that I prioritize solutions over partisanship.  We have a long way to go, and you can count on me to learn everything I can about what’s worked to tamp down the opioid wildfire, and what we can do to bring relief to Vermont families and communities.
